In 2022, Solid Rock celebrated 25 years of ministry. God’s faithfulness has been evident over the past 25 years in Solid Rock’s founding and growth. Generations of students have come through Solid Rock’s doors and so many families have been supported and blessed. God’s work at Solid Rock continues in their lives and in the lives of students who will keep coming over the next 25 years.
High School can be a difficult season for students as they navigate the challenges that come with growing up and finding their identity in a world that often does not always speak truth into their lives. Solid Rock High School Programs relaunched in 2020 to help teens answer their questions about who God is and what His plan is for them, giving them an identity rooted in Christ and not this world.
Each family has a story, and so does each family member. We are thankful that Solid Rock could be a part of this family’s story and, in God’s providence, Solid Rock has played a different role in each of their lives. Whether our work is viewed from the perspective of students or parents, Solid Rock Youth Ministries is grateful that we can be a blessing to those we serve.
We rejoice that God has used Solid Rock to enrich Vibrant's faith. "It was like the lessons fed into my soul," she remembers. But Vibrant heard those Bible lessons because she felt that Solid Rock was a place where she was welcomed and treated kindly. We pray and work so that everyone entering Solid Rock's doors would feel the same warmth and hospitality Vibrant felt, and that through that welcoming atmosphere, God would open hearts to hear and receive the gospel.
Through the ministry of Solid Rock God has blessed the lives of some families who have faced unique hardships. We are grateful that Kelly Sheaffer and her daughter Annie see Solid Rock as a shaping influence in Annie's life and a relief in stressful times for Kelly. Kira Heiser, speaks to the bond her family developed with Solid Rock. At Solid Rock we are blessed to not just care for people's children, but to grow deep relationships with our families.
